There is something cathartic about breaking down, cleaning, and reassembling a Sebenza. It's just as solid as it was before breaking it down.

I don't know about that. For some reason my large and small Sebenza's are not cooperating with me. My large is much smoother than it was before(it has been tight since day1) and my small has always been somewhat smooth but now is tight. Also, both have side to side blade play. It's pissing me off. I have disassembled and assembled my sebbies many times and even watched Chris Reev's method at BLADE, which is what I do.

It's cathartic when it goes right and a white knuckle with red face experience when it doesn't.

Wouldn't be the washer placement would it?

Hope it all works out bub:thumbup:

You probably need to ingest more of what is in that brown bottle with the cool Fiddleback coozie. Works for me anyway;)

Just take a couple deep breaths and walk away for a while. As easy as they are to put together, sometimes it is a pain to get everything seated properly.

For calming down, yes:thumbup:
For piecing together a folder, not so much:thumbdn::D

Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there by the way!

Brats and playing with the kiddo in the sunshine, I'm a happy papa:thumbup:

Did you disassemble more than one knife at a time? If so you may have mixed up bushings or stop pins from one knife to another. Blade bushings are precision ground and matched to blade thickness and must be used with the blade they came from CRK with.

I hope you didn't disassemble 12 sebenzas at once and mix up all the bushings, that would be a nightmare to sort out, really hope you didn't do that, lol!

No. All were cleaned one at a time.

Looks like you treated yourself to a little present as well.....very nice snag on the other folder.

Yes, Happy Father's(consolation day) to all CRK dad's. You also, BBQ. I got a little Father's Day gift from you....WOW...speechless. Can't wait to try the sauce. (Yes, THE ONLY SAUCE) in the Carolina's! Will use my new small Insingo w/micarta to chop my pork! ha I can hopefully pick it up tuesday. You are a good man. A gentleman!

I really hope that crap gets sorted out. Sucks to be doing your thing on THIS day, with an end result like that. :thumbdn: Let us know what happens.

You have been the RL sniper on the custom end. I am too slow...
