what I got done this week....wanna see?

Got 2 finished up this week,give me your comments please-Good/Bad
First:
Random pattern Damascus blade 5 inches long
Bronze guard and buttcap--The guard is textured and the buttcap is carved with a arrowhead motif.
The antler handle has black and blonde cow horn spacers and is 4 1/4 inches long.....

Second:

2 1/2 inch star pattern Damascus made by Chad Nichols
Textured Nickel Silver guard
red and white fiber spacers and a Purple Heart handle at a total of 3 inches long...

Two very nice knives Bruce. How is the purple heart to work with? Is it stabalized purple heart that you used?

Thanks for the great comments everybody....

Will,The purple heart isnt to bad to work,it is very hard and burns easy,just make sure you use good clean sharp belts when grinding it.

I'm not sure that you can stabilize purpleheart. I thinks it's too oily to take the stabilizing process very well.

The purple heart needs atmoshere to tun the fresh cut piece back to purple.I would be afraid to stabilize it and thus have the wood stay brown.I may be wrong about it afecting it but I didnt want to take a chance.

Bruce, Lemme see what you got....... Really glad to see you coming back. Two in one week is very production week for me. The 6 Pack was a one time thing that I will never try again. Do you think your up to doing a big knife yet? I just started on Jumbo.
 
Thanks Ray,Yea I have been itching to do a big blade.Guess I will start on one this week.I dont think I would want to try the 6 pack myself.
