I think we will go ahead and start a photo and story thread for Holiday gifts and giving. Some folks get and give knives at events before the actual morning of the 25th.

I gave 6 Blaze Orange Bantams to the local Scoutmaster to use as awards. I haven't given myself a knife because I have plenty. But, I am thankful that I carried one of three knives all year, one every day and never lost or damaged one. A small dymond wood Vantage; a 444 with small leather thong and bead; and a small Mayo Ti. I am surprised one never slipped away.....I did lose a screw from the Vantage clip but I robbed one from my jigged bone Vantage project I never put back together......300

I am giving out 10 Bucks this year for Christmas. In fact 6 just came in the mail today! I ordered 3 engraved 286's for my new son in law and 2 new grandsons. I wanted to get the red, white and blue 285's but they were unavailable . Then my wife's bass player asked when/if they were getting a knife with the new bands name "KatillacJack" so KathyJo asked me to call Buck and see if there was ANY way we could get 6 of them for the band's Christmas present. Matt at Buck was up to the challenge and found 6 in clam packs and had them engraved for us. The 10th Buck is a nice new 105 I'm giving to one of the new grandsons as a graduation present for his engineering degree. I can't think of a better present for a young man starting out in life.Bucks for Christmas. ..now there's a song to be written .

Thanks to whoever posted here and tipped me off that these were available.

They are a big part of my Merry Christmas!!

I gave my granddaughter a 102 for Christmas. She is a good shot and hunter. Last year she placed second in the light rifle competition at the state high school rodeo finals. The problem is that she will probably have a limited chance to use the knife. She has nominations to both the Air Force and Naval Academies and either one will keep her pretty well occupied. I also bought myself a Christmas present: a micarta 500 Duke. I wasn't sure whether to post that here or in the current 500 Duke thread, but here it is.

My fellow southpaw Great-Nephew "Hunter" (Love the irony here) and myself with our Christmas Bucks.

I gave him a 110, that I've had set back for him since the day after he was born in 2006, so he would have one with his birth year code on it, and my family gave me a nickel silver and indigo blue drop point 110 from Copper & Clad.

I also gave him the camo Buck Knives hat. :)

EDIT:Here's a better shot of my Indigo Blue 110. She's a looker!

Thought I wouldn't buy any Bucks for myself or others this Christmas...two good deals came my way and I couldn't pass on them. CL seller with a 110, FG from 1995 and a two liner 118, rough but a user for sure. Then a 50th Anniversary 'No Buck' logo 110, surf fishing the 'bay'. Thank you, Santa. Preston

WOW and congrats! Your dedication to your health can be the best "present" ever to your nephew and family.

Thanks, I had been ignoring my Type 2 diabetes for years, and last Dec. I noticed I couldn't see very well in my left eye. Went to get checked, and fasting sugar was 270 and A1C was 11.3. I went on what's called a "Therapeutic Ketogenic Diet", which is very low carb/high fat/moderate protein diet, and started swimming 3-5 days a week at a local gym. 1 year later I'm 54lbs lighter, pretty much all blood work is normal, blood sugars are normal and last A1C on August 8th was 6.6, so I anticipate by my next blood work in January it will be below 5. All with no medication!

It was a strange thing to get his 110 ready for him, when I put it up in 2006, I had put in the box a letter to him "in case" I wasn't around when he opened it. It felt good to take the letter out and throw it away. :)

That is so awesome you got life under control

sass, your 119 looks like a 1966 one line. Nice group. DM
I think it is? Is that the correct sheath it sure matches as far as shape and age, there is a mark on the snap, I have to clean it up to see what it is? Just received it yesterday and I'm going to send the knife into Buck for a Spa treatment. The 102 is also a one-liner but doesn't have the squared off pommel like the 119.

sass, Buck started using the flap over sheath in 64 w/ 'Buck' on the snap. That makes your 119 earlier. You should look at the end of the pommel on your 119 and see if you find a circle. DM
