Owen Wood Had a great demo at Josh's hammer in so here is what I came up with for a first try at Precision Damascus. I have a project in mind for this that I will be taking to the ABS Expo in San Antonio.

That is really cool. its perfectley spaced and lined up. i'm trying to go to the ABS expo to.

Ah, hmmm...we seem to have a reverse situation here.

Usually we have to ask for the missing photos, but this time it's the how-I-did-it explanation that's missing. Any chance you can share the secret recipe?

he printed it on paper and stuck it on the steel. its one of thoes things you do a dubble take at. at first your like "thats way cool" then your like "wate a sec how did he do that".

Bill, I saw the folder of Owen's that Rob Lindquist bought that had that - and MORE - treatment on the blade.
It was phenominal to say the least.
Looks like you've got a good handle on it.

Looks very good Bill...

Owen is really good at that type of damascus. There are photos and some words about how he does it on the CKCA forums.

I did it just like Owen said to in the seminar at Josh's:D

But Seriously, I couldn't do a run down without first getting Owen's permission. He will be doing another seminar on this at the ABS expo in about a month and he freely gave out the information at the BSHI but I don't think that it would be right to post his proceedure without first getting permission. Sorry guys.

I caught the tail end of his seminar at the ABS hammer-in in Visalia last year. It is pretty amazing the things he does, and your piece looks very good too.

Way to go Bill, looks like you were obviously paying attention.
