Hello everybody I don't mean to be a bother but I make a list of things I think I need to be able to make a stock removal knife, can everybody please respond with any sugestions for things that I HAVE to have to make a knife with please and thank you.

1)Desire to do it
2)Determination
3)Hand Drill
4)Files
5)Sandpaper
6)Epoxy
7)Pins
8)Steel
9)Handle Material
10)Marker
11)Ruler
12)Workbench
13)Bench Vice

of these things I have all of these things except for the handle material, I am planning to use wood or micarta, but I have everything else in this list as well as a Drill Press, an Angle Grinder with a grinding wheel and Metal Cutoff wheels, and I have a Bench Grinder.

You may need a saw to cut out your handle material, and then of course a provision for heat treat. Other then that, it looks like you have things mostly covered.

Hack saw with 24 tooth bi-metal blade. A high tension hack saw is the best type. Only cost a few bucks more, but cuts a lot better.
An 18" 2X4 for a work arm to file/sand the blade
A couple of C-clamps to clamp the blade to the filing board.
Pencils and paper and a notebook to make sketches amd write down info and ideas

If you already have a few C clamps and a thin board you can make a pretty serviceable sanding/filing station on top of a table or work bench. Something like a primitive version of Nick Wheeler's setup in his videos. For me it's easier than the bench vise, and safer.

Well, I already have a handsaw for wood, and I have 2 c clamps so what else is there that I need, because I already have somebody that is willing to heat treat the blade for me

I'd say to MEMORIZE the stickies in this forum! I learned a lot from them. In fact I've learned a lot about knife making from this forum just reading and searching!

We should consider making stickies at the top of this page for people that want to start making knives. They could just read the info. :)
