Nothing like snow in the south, no work today. We have no plows or salt trucks so everything shuts down. I have plenty of food, beer and a warm fireplace so I am good to go.:thumbup: Chris

For you, I'll be happy. I'm sure its a welcome change and makes for some beautiful scenery. Congrats on getting a snow day:thumbup:.

We'll have snow mounds 'til some time in April. The plows have stacked it about 10' high. If you need more, I can arange a delivery :D.

So THAT'S what snow looks like! We haven't seen any this year yet - supposed to hit 68 today and 70 tomorrow. Yes, in Colorado.

Enjoy your day off!

Nice!

Here's what it looked like in Apex when I got up...

Snow days are great, as they buffer the monotonous daily tide of the rush, we need more of them. Enjoy the day off, pour a tall one and relax by the stove.

As said before, if it's snow you want, take my snow, please! I think it will take until July for the snow to be gone from these regions. A light dusting like you have can indeed be refreshing though, so enjoy!

Now I am jealous!!! We were supposed to get 2-5 inches here in Virginia today and we got nothing. I was looking forward to the snow and really looking forward to the day off of work to go play in the snow. The weather man strikes again. He got my hopes up for nothing!!!!:)

Great picture Chris! That's a geat day to relax and sip on a good glass of wine or beer! Stay safe and stay warm! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a "well-timed" storm over here in TX; chances are it's happen when we're in the field:eek:

We got 20 inches at my house right now. I have been shoveleing all of the small piles from shoveling the driveway into one pile to make a big pile. It is about 5' high right now, maybe 10' in diameter, maybe 12.

Very refreshing to get a little bit of snow when you haven't seen any in a while, though. First time we got a "real" amount(3"+) of snow we got plastered with a foot of it.

Wow, so you got Memorial Day off and then a snowday on Tuesday? Your one lucky guy! Hope you had enough beer...
