What if?

So I guess, as long as I placed a traditional Case Seahorse Whittler on a picture of Stormy Daniels at work on her back, I could post it here instead of the Pirates Cove.

Not likely, Ed! :D
Folks, Keep the reference to the three knives (traditional please) that you'd bring along and I think we're ok. If it veers too much we'll move it.

I do love these "What If threads.
Here is what I carried on the trap line last winter. Well actually that is not quite true. The multi tool was a Leatherman Supertool 300 instead of the scout knife but it isn't traditional.

I really love this axe. The edge profile is very versatile. 20" overall makes it easy to wield in tight bush. A decent weight head for pounding stakes. It sported a folded over license plate all winter for a sheath but I recently decided it deserved a proper covering so I made this leather sheath. The knife is an Old Hickory slicing knife I cut down. A Queen stockman.

Dummy cords are key!!! And as for the size of a canoe, 10 foot would be very small to river trip with but would be an excellent tool for maneuvering around in sloughs that beaver, muskrat and otter love. Would be a great way for early and late season travel.

Definitely this for sure.

My " utility axe ", imperial H6, Vic tinker, and a pocket stone.
I don't have much clothing or other gear that would fit the bill that's traditional unless USGI gear counts so that would have to be determined.
Hickory n steel did you mod that imperial yourself? It looks really good.

Thanks, and yes I did the H6 myself.
A fall on the garage floor broke the old black delrin so I made new wood scales , I gave it a swedged, then made a new guard out of an old piece of rusty scrap steel.
Eventually I went ahead and set that little steer into one side.
