Holding my Al Mar S2K makes me wish it had some traction grooves milled into the thumb ramp. Nothing overly aggressive, but currently it is a little slick. That got me thinking. What improvements would I make to my favorite knives? Lets see......

I would like to see a compression lock and BG-42 on my Wegner, as well as some different colored scales. :D

And while we are at it, put an axis lock on the AFCK. ;)

ANything you would change about your favorites?

My two current faves would have to be the Spydie Lum Chinese and the Benchmade 710.

I wouldn't do a thing to the Lum...It's perfect.

I might want the 710 to be available in VG-10 instead of ATS-34 / 154-CM. Otherwise, well, it's perfect too.

My small Sebenza is already perfect.:)
Titanium handle and 440V on the SpyderCard. Titanium or aluminum handle on the Buck 112, same for the Spyderco Native.

I have taken files and sandpaper to ALL of my REKAT folders in order to get rid of the SHARP edges of the G-10 scales, stainless liners, and fingergrooves, and now they ALL feel GREAT in my hand.:).

More SOG folders without the daft Americanised Tanto.
A Spyderco Military with a beefier tip, CPM 420V a compression lock and C/F scales

An AFCK without scale flex, blade wobble and blade rub oh and an Axis lock.

More makers using VG-10 and M2!

The Camillus EDC, give us a 3.9" model in BG-42. Now that would be the knife of the year in my book:D

I absolutely love my new LCC, but it is a bit big. I would like to see a version the size of the custom ones, with a 3.25" blade. I'd also like to see an Axis AFCK, and a CQC7-A with the wave.

Improvements for my carry knives are as follows:
(1) SIFU - just change the color of the handles.(BLUE g-10):D
(2) Commander thicker liners, some sore of Axis/Roling lock
(3) Timberline Wartec (get rid of the zytel and go with g-10)
(4) Spyderco Civilian - nothing perfect the way it is.

Well, here is my list;

Large Wegner with an upgrade in blade steel (either BG-42, 440V or preferably 420V)

Starmate with dual stainless liners and a stainless backspacer. This is a real user of a knife and needs to feel like one

M2 710 with carbon fiber scales

LCC with a steel upgrade (again either BG-42, 440V or 420V)

All of these suggestions would just serve to make a great knife one step closer to perfection.

I'd like an axis BM AFCK. I'd also like to see a kershaw ken onion speedsafe Boa, but with a framelock. And a 4" outdoor edge paragee/camillus EDC.

I would like to see a Left Handed MT UDT and a Left Handed WH Lancet. :)

But that is too much of an improvement to happen. :(

I wish my Al Mar SERE 2000 had a wave feature like the Commanders I own. I know it is impossible, due to the patent situation, but I can wish can't I?

That's easy - AFCK with Axis lock and VG-10 blade. A.G. Russell Deer Hunter in VG-10. Sebenza in, oh that's right, it's already perfect.
:)

1) Delica '98 with old style clip (current clip has less retention), with a Wharncliffe pattern blade, and NO dished (Boye-style) lock release.

2) AFCK in M2 steel, black coated, with Axis lock.

Let's see, a 710 with a handle that's more contoured like the 730 as well as 2 tone G10 would be nice. An larger axis version of the 690 would be really neat too, and of course another vote for the axis AFCK which will be produced when pigs grow wings.

I would love BG42 on the Wegner. Also, on the Cammilus EDC, I would like the blade edge to start a little bit further from the handle so that it is less likely to cut your finger when you do a one-handed closing (compare the EDC to the Spyderco dragonfly to see what I mean).

Buck Strider - round off those angular handles!
Camillus EDC - 3.5" blade and thicker handle slabs
OE Magna - make the knife a shade smaller
CRKT Point Guard - replace the thumbwheel with a thumbstud

Speaking of the SERE 2000....

I filed/removed the rough edge from both of the thumbstuds using a jeweler's file.

I also bent the tip of the clip slightly outwards away from the knife so that I could slide it back into my pants pocket using only one hand.

I'm definitely into a full sized Camillus EDC. 3 1/2 inches would be perfect. This seems to be a pretty common wish.

I'd also like to see Buck start to put bone handles on their pocketknives again. Actually, I'd like to see wood and bone start to appear on more knives as a whole.

My Sebenza is pretty much perfect, although a dual thumb stud would be much appreciated as a standard.

I wish Spyderco would make the Military in VG-10 steel I think that would be the best Spyderco and BM would also the the VG-10 steel in they 710,705 knives. :) :)
