What in your opinion is the best hawk and why?

omg...i just typed out a crap load of info...then deleted it.....so now you get the short version......
call devin from 2hawks.net those hawks are sooooo sweet..... i love the feel, the steel, and the deal....6051 blued i think....always custome, made in america....and I wore off most of the blue ,yet the blade is still as sharp as it was new...im very impressed and throwing it is a dream.....boy do I wish I had the gumption to type out everything i typed before.....its just that if your looking for a good hawk, atleast check out devin prices products...

also, i never bought his custom knives, but the specs look impressive....all you knife nutz out there should give his website a shot...the best part, when you call....you get the man that makes your blade...cons..you have to open a pay pal account just to pay debit...whatever though,,, he was friendly and sold me spare hickory handles pretty darn cheap in mini-bulk

I love my Longhunter by 2hawks (same maker and model as the Pathfinder Scout). I have used it and used it and used it some more and it is still sporting its factory edge!

I have recently become more familiar with the CS hawks. Great users and they seem to be a favorite of the people that like to modify them. A bit raw from the factory for some people but like most things, it is probably why so many of them actually get used in the woods. I think that raw state is also a blank canvas to those with imagination and skill and as you can see from the sticky on this forum, lots of incredible looking hawks are made from that blank canvas.

I have a GFB Small Forest Axe as well which really excels when you are spending time with handle in hand. My experience with this one is the opposite of one of the other posts in this thread. My GFB chipped on its first day outdoors while my Longhunter has seen 50 times more work and is almost as sharp as when it arrived. No big deal on the chip, just had my son-in-law put it on the stone and its as good as new. Now only time in the field will tell if it holds up.

Cant go wrong with a Fort Turner American made and the price is right heres my Iroquois have since put a new haft on and had a edge cover made.
