I know there are already several complaints about BHQ here, but I don't think this one has been mentioned.

I wanted to check out the price of a Benchmade knife I was interested in. Google it and BHQ is near the top of the results. I go to their website and it says that I need to call them for the price. Really??? I'm thinking, "OK, they must have some kind of reduced price. Otherwise, they would have just posted it." So, letting curiosity get the better of me, I do call. And wait. And wait some more. Twenty minutes later, still on hold, I hung up out of frustration waiting for someone to answer a question that should have been on the damn site. Screw that. I'll buy elsewhere. I might have understood if they had a lot of folks answering their phones so customers did not have to wait inordinate amounts of time, but clearly they are more interested in inconveniencing prospective customers. Great business model, BHQ. :poop:

I was recently looking at something on BladeHQ had listed as "call for price." Turns out, when I added it to my cart, the price popped up. So maybe you don't absolutely have to call?
Same here. Just put it in your cart. Sometimes they get flak from manufacturers for advertising too low of a price, but when you add to cart the price shows up there.

Interesting thought. I tried that and it does not work for me. Instead of the price, it still says to call. I suppose I could go through the checkout process as they have to let me know at some point what I'm paying for the knife, but that seems to be unnecessarily tedious.

Well, drat. I was trying to be helpful. Anyway, I'd rather do that than sit on hold, though.

Yeah go further through check out. One step before giving your credit card info. It will show up.
I went through checkout to the payment page and they want my cc info and I still have not seen the price. Gave them my name, address, phone, & email all on the first page of the checkout process. Next page just wants my cc info. No price listed.

ETA: Thanks, sixplymaple sixplymaple .

Maybe it’s different as a guest. I just did it through my account and it popped up.
