What is Buss's infi steel most similar to?

I was thinking Infi might be something close to Vanax 75 since vanax is also a nitrogen steel.

Infi is most similar to adamantium. :D

This is pretty accurate :D. In all honesty INFI is by far the best all-around steel I've used in a blade. The one time I've seen it take edge damage it just rolls and can be brought back into line in no time flat. To put that in perspective though, I've only seen it take that kind of damage last weekend when my LMS was being used to pry apart a bunch of seatbelts and cut some heavy hoses at a wreckers looking for parts. Fixing the couple of edge rolls took all of 10 minutes on my strop and Sharpmaker.

I think performance wise INFI is really similar to 5160 (which is an amazing steel) but with awesome stain resistance. I used to think INFI and 3V were extremely similar but after alot of use they are very different steels. 3V has much better edge retention, but is less tough--3V will chip before INFI will. INFI is one of the toughest steels I've ever used and for a serious hard use knife I think it's probably at the top of the heap.

All I know is Infi just works--kinda like diamonds with women & close in price!

Does anyone find it odd that infi and Viagra hit the market around the same time. Coincidence ..... I think not. ;)
