What is CBT?

I believe they are supposed to aid in chopping as it reduces sticking into the wood your chopping

Right. There is no data nor reports to suggest that the CBT hinder chopping or increase sticking. One could theorize that the reduced surface contact area of a CBT blade wedged into a wood split (vs a similar blade with a standard grind) will cause less sticktion.

I cannot think of any reports that the CBT made it worse...
