My condolences on the passing of your pup.

Thanks,he's not gone yet but was tested & diagnosed with cushings. Well yesterday he was having it tough so we took him back to his favorite place, the Vet (NOT) and now they say it is cancer & he'll only go for a few days. I took a walk with him today & he's not right but he's still above ground so ..... My wife is taking it pretty badly. Thanks fella's

I think the passing of a good dog has to be one of the hardest there is. Hang in there VCM I lost my golden, Dad, Grandfather, and Mother inlaw to cancer.

Aw Vince, huge bummer, I'm so sorry to hear of your pup's situation. Smoke in the air for you, and your Mrs., and Copper.

Vince, so sorry to hear about Copper. I've been through the same thing many times and it never gets any easier.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've lost a dog before that was a member off the family, and it took a very long time to get over it. A dog is a child of yours that never grows up, and you care for them their whole life, and when that ends, it's crushing. Our girl Pearl the wonder corgi is getting on in years, and I'm going to be a basket case when the inevitable happens. It's amazing how little our dogs demand of us, and how much they give.

The only thing I can say is, remember the Rainbow Bridge. We're parted from them for only a while.

Carl.

I'm sorry about your Copper, Vince. I know how it feels to have a pooch runnin towards Heaven's fields. :(

Really sorry to hear about your dog. I am a dog lover myself and know how hard it can be when they become I'll.I will keep you and Cooper in my thoughts and wish you both the best that can be.

Jim

Because collectively, we are the "sharpest" guys on the web! ;)

The amount of people falling for & then getting their panties in a wad over a simple April fools joke makes me question this... :)

Losing a dog is always difficult. I watched my dog get ran over as a kid and it was traumatizing! Sorry for your loss.

Hey Vince,

Sorry to hear about the pending loss of your buddy. I've been there several times, most recently about a year ago, and it's never, ever easy. Almost as bad as losing a child. We all got your back.

Chris-

I know it is April first,I think,lol.
Seriously though, will we have to spit on our slipjoints to oil the joints ?

My good boy Copper is really going out fast ,on his way to eternal hunting grounds in heaven,no leashes , no joke. I'm not in a joking mood. This Google BS is upsetting. Please let me know before I begin to delete my images from the Old Knife thread.

I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved dog. :(

Sorry to hear about your dog. My family has lost two in the past few years and I know how hard it can be.

I too am very sorry to hear about your friend's last days, Vince. We lost our beloved Golden, Max a few years ago and it still hurts. We tried to get another but it's wasn't the same at all. He was only 7 years old and our best friend.

Vince, sorry to hear about Copper. It's like loosing a family member. Best wishes to you and your wife.

Sorry to hear about Coppers condition Vince, my brother just lost his best friend Sport, his Golden Retriever of 15 yrs. Said it was the hardest thing he had to do.

We've lost two dear Shelties and Buddy (my avatar) is getting up in age, dread the day that we'll part.

Prayers and smoke from the Dakota's Vince.

Paul

Vince you have my sincere caninedolences as well.Hopefully he goes to the big dog pound in the sky where the postman are really fat and unable to run fast and people send dinosaur bones through the mail 10 times a day.
Re april fools jokes-Has anyone anywhere ever found them to be even mildly amusing? with the exception of the following group- radio breakfast DJs that cackle hilariously at their own jokes then give you the surf/ski report while you're sitting in the traffic on your way to work.yeah thanks for that.In past times they would have been part of the Inquisition or plague viruses.

.

Vince, I am sorry to hear of your friend's condition.

Folks, I'm going to shut this one down now. It is now April 2nd and the joke has ended.
