What is "it" about Buck knives for you?

The warranty has been brought up, which is fantastic, by the way; it’s the BEST in the business. Better than Spyderco, Benchmade, etc.

It’s funny that so many have brought up the nostalgia factor. Buck is a relatively new US knife manufacturer. Unfortunately the older ones have all basically faded into oblivion.

Buck is the last man standing. Not only in the US knife business, but in all of US manufacturing. Buck is a shining example of how great an American company can be. Buck is not only a great knife company, but a great company period. I hope they stay the course and don’t loose their way.

If Buck made trucks I’d be driving a Buck.

Now I'm sad about our collective loss of Camillus & Schrade. We still have Case . . . for now.

I’ve always felt that Buck did all they could to keep Camillus alive. Outsourcing most of their slip joint patterns to them. It was a match made in heaven.

I’m sad for all the Great American knife companies that have passed, but Camillus is the one that hurts the most.

It's all about the value and quality, the history and traditional style, and made in the US with one helluva warranty.

A great knife for the money, I love their blade finishes, I just plain love the 305, love their clip point blades, and they make their loyal customers feel like family.
As a company they're just great, and they care.

I've gifted probably 15 Buck knives over the years and every single one of them was loved, buck just makes knives people can really appreciate.
Even if you're not much of a knife person Buck makes or has made a knife that would suit you.

When I was about 16 my grandmother allowed me to spend $15.00 at the hardware store to buy myself a knife (I think it was for Christmas 1972 but it could have been for my birthday a month earlier in November). I could pick anything I wanted up to that price and I picked a Buck 301. I don’t remember how I became convinced Buck was the right brand, could have been all the ads in the Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines my Dad subscribed to or it could have been the man at the hardware store. The next time (1976) I needed a knife (a fixed blade) I chose a Buck 105 - that has become a lifelong pattern for me in working knives - I consider Buck to be THE BRAND for working knives for hunting, fishing, and general outdoorsman’s use.
