What is it about the BK-18?

I like the way the harpoon looks myself. Always easy to see a blade in a different way though, and sometimes, you just can't help yourself and end up modding it, haha.

I have been struggling with the 18. I already have my grail belt knife plus I've been trying to reduce the number of knives sitting around on a shelf for years, so it doesn't make sense to get one. But man oh man do I want one. Pure mind-boner design.

I have the want for one. I really like the harpoon shape; however....

it's almost tempting to crop the spine enough to make it straight in-line with the front half of the handle.
I suspect it would do nothing for the handling, because it wouldn't be that much weight, but would change the look significantly.
