What is it about TNT's???

The TNT is the only folder that catches my eye right now, other than Sebbies.:) As stated above......someday.....

Mine doesn't leave my pocket. I use it mostly for opening letters and cutting loose threads, but occasionally I use it to make sure the steaks are a nice rare ;). I used it to trim some tomato plants too. I love the knife, I don't know what I would do without it.

I have other knives, both custom and production, that feel very good in my hand, but none that feels as "right" as my TNT does.

Well, I know that Russ loves to read this stuff, so this is for you bud (Perverse jokes could be made [and easily] when it comes to Russ and TNTs [and TNT threads] but we wont go into that). :)

Similar to Russ, I have gone through A LOT of knives, I have had a TON of expensive custom knives, I buy, sell, and do lots of trading. I thought it was fun, I started with production knives, and just went up and up, and got into custom knives. I received different knives all the time and quite often would not hold onto them for a long time. They were all good knives, some were really great, but they just did not feel right, they did not quite fit me. It's hard to count the knives and makers I had, the values would definitely be up there, but I always felt this void, I was looking for the Perfect dream knife EDC, a "Holy Grail", as Russ would say.

So to make a LONG story short, I ended up getting a TNT, something that I should have done a LONG time ago. I got it and immediately fell in love. The blade and handles are not super dressy, but there no where near plane, they just simply work together. The quality is amazing and it's just great!!! I am nearly speechless, action, lock up, blade grind, lines, fit, finish, everything ... is perf... well not everything is Perfect, there is one hole that is crooked... :)

Anyway, I love it, and oh much of my thanks to Russ, If it was not for you and all your threads like this, it may have taken me even longer to get a TNT. I would post a picture, but I can't... :(

Now I just need to decide if I want a slightly smaller one... ;)

Thanks,
mmtmatrix

I picked up one of these "Made in Hawaii" tourist trinkets. Check mine out; I now use it as a paperweight and pen rest: :)

I think Bladezealot is getting kickbacks from Tom for generating all this free advertising...

Seriously, the TNT is a great knife. It takes some of the most advanced developments in folder design, metallurgy, and cutting performance and condenses them into their simplest, most minimalist form. Even the handle holes don't "add," they subtract material to lighten and provide better grip, as Scott Dog noted, as well as to distinguish it aesthetically. In fact, the only extraneous or unnecessary component is the frontside logo and backside "6BH" -- and even those serve to cover the original "Made in Afghanistan" imprint. :D

One more note to my fellow OC knifeknut, Scott Dog: You take your TNT "in the ocean"?!? You know that great lightness of the TNT that makes it feel as though you "hardly know it's there"? One day, it just might not be there, buddy, but instead swimming along on its own, in that sewage plume off Huntington Beach. :p
