Thanks I looked at the blade it has engravings of roses & crossed swords and guns on the blade

Yes I agree I thought it may be old by the looks of it. like tltt said a mix of a lodge/fraternal order sword, the pommel looks like it

It looks pretty old.

The pommel is definitely from a fraternal sword. The grip is probably not. Mostly those are "caned." This grip appears to have been leather wrapped at some point. The cross may have been repurposed from something else cheap and I wonder if the blade is not part of the same sword as the pommel but broken off. Do the etchings or engravings run off at the tip? This is not a sommelier or hunting saber. It is a composite of worthless bits and pieces, but still a fun find!
