What is it that makes the 107s so collectible?

Figure this is good press for others to join BCCI.

BUT...

If this violates any BCCI or Forum rules, let me know and I will replace the pic with one of me wearing my Speedo on the beach in Maui.
 :barf:

Ya know, it does kine look like a steak knife.

Ah what the heck Goose, post it anyway :D LOL ( I dare you)

I just double checked my BCCI newsletter still isnt here. :(

So, has anyone taken a liking to this 107 and ordered 1, or possibly 2? I know it's going to look good in a stag display of new releases I'm working on. I thought about bolsters on the front, but then the stag may have ended up thinner. Here's a pic of my "107", forged from a coil spring with a split Elk tip handle.

I don't mean to tell you your business, but...wouldn't it be easier to make it from a leaf spring???

May have been more of a challenge to make it from a coil! :D

As of right now, I'm not ordering one of the BCCI 107's

I am going grouse hunting next week and the 107 looks like just the number so I just picked up one made in 1990. I really like it. Better handle for a big hand than a 102 and a real nice blade shape. My only misgiving is that the plastic liner has caused the sheath to spring open a bit. The knife is still nice and tight but the glue has given out inside the stitching so that the inside of the sheath is not black along the stitching. No big thing at all. Maybe I will just cover it up with a felt tipped pen. I just hope I get some birdies to use the knife on. I know that game populations ebb and flow and it has been ebbing the last couple of years so I am ready for it to turn around.

I guess... I once made a front anti-roll bar for my Trans-Am out of 1 5/16" "drill rod"; didn't have a forge, so I heated it up with a rosebud to bend it and hammer-flatten the ends...You could pretty much watch the gauge needles move...

...Have to say that I'm right there with you rodent...It's a nice knife as knives go but to me it's still a "fixed blade"...They just never made too much of an impression on me. I wouldn't mind them as a set of steak knives but at perhaps $300 or more for a used set and $700  for a set of them new, I think I'll stick with my 110's for doing the meat cuttin'...LOL...I don't do the serrated thing with steak knives either...LOL...:D

I really, really, want to order one. But right now I have too many wants:D
So I will also not order just yet unfortunataly... I dont collect the 107 but i love it and this is THE PERFECT variation of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
However i found another knife I really need for my display so will wait a few more days...

I'm with you Larry, Darryl & Jim,

I don't collect the 107 Bucks....and don't intend to. However......It has a stag handle. I to have to many other wants and not enough cash for them.....so I'll pass on this one.

...My other brother Darryl might have been interested in the fixed bladers but him and Larry went ice fishing way up north in Atlanta and never developed an affinity for knives...Now "HOOKS" ...They are into...or should I say...the hooks are into them...LMAO...
