Hi all,

First post, and looking forward to learning more and making new friends in the knife world!

Can someone tell me where I post a "what is it worth? question?

Thanks much!

Hi all,

I just inherited several pieces, and am amazed at the workmanship and beauty of a couple in particular.

Can someone with much more knowledge than I let me know if this knife in particular is of value? It hasn't been used and don't want to mess it up if it in fact is worth a lot?

The knife is a Microtech brand Makora - it says made in 2005, and is #67 of 100 made. Has the factory nylon sheath, brownish alloy metal body with a black grippy inlay.

Thanks, and advice would really be appreciated!

Wait...it looks like you are a gold member, but haven't updated your status.

I've seen them selling new in the $450-475 range. Used is very variable. People seem to ask a lot on eBay, but I don't think they get their asking price.

If you're looking to sell the knife, you can email the folks at BladeHQ. They sometimes buy interesting knives and they're a big Microtech dealer. I bet they'd be interested.

You can also list it for consignment at places like Arizona Custom Knives. If you've got the original box, sheath, and papers it's easier to sell.

Well nobody has answered your specific question yet- you can post your question in the general knife discussion forum. Good description and photos will help.

You could also post in the manufacturer specific forums if for instance you had a Spyderco or whatever.

Thanks all...bd this post is in the General Knife discussion forum, so I thought that would be the best spot. I can try the Microtech specific forum as well, thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the BladeHQ pointer EMRE, have a request in now.

Can anyone chime in and help?? I paid $30 to be a Gold member and was hoping folks could help steer me in the right direction.

Thanks again!
