What is this? Perhaps some secret knife made for a CIA assassination unit?
I'm just kidding, but one can hope.;)

4" fillet hand ground by the Janitor himself. D2 indeed.

Here's a 6" version.

A fillet knife in D2? isn't that counter the springy effective of most fillet knives?

What was the deal with these? I don't remember seeing them for sale.

i got one. used it for food prep while camping, best knife i own for that task.

havent used it to filet any fish, but it does not flex like most filet knives.

The 6" has a little flex, but not as much as my Dexter Russells or Martiinis.

Works great on smaller fish though.

A few weeks ago??? I think it was more like 2 months ago. (Time flies - but I'm pretty sure it was late May when Skunk found them.)

I didn't go and grab. I saved and scored a NICK set instead. :)

I think it was more like 9 months ago. :D

I got the last 6" knife Skunk had.

And just to clear up any confusion regarding where they were for sale....they were on the exchange for sale directly from Skunk. I also got a 4" and yes, they are like a little fighter.

Which one of your fishing buddies violated that one fish??? He's got that "Hey, what are you doing back there" look in his eye. ROTFL!!

It was the first mate. We told him to stop it, but he'd been out at sea for about three weeks straight! :D

Honestly, I don't know why the grouper eyes bug out, but I suspect it has to do with the physiology and the change in pressure when you yank them up a couple hundred feet.

To my knowledge the Fillet knives in all three sizes and the 3 Finger's were all made by Jerry himself in the 80's and possibly early 90's then put in boxes and fogotten about only to be rediscovered and sold to skunk years later who in turn sold them by the piece here on Blade Forums. I know the 3 Finger was D2 (at least I'm pretty sure) and the fillet knives probably are too if they're from the same era....can someone confirm this?

My time frame might be off, I seem to recall they were ground in the early 80's......definitely not the 90's...

For each decade earlier I hear these things were made....I'm less likely to actually use it :o
