What is it?

To my knowledge the Fillet knives in all three sizes and the 3 Finger's were all made by Jerry himself in the 80's and possibly early 90's then put in boxes and fogotten about only to be rediscovered and sold to skunk years later who in turn sold them by the piece here on Blade Forums. I know the 3 Finger was D2 (at least I'm pretty sure) and the fillet knives probably are too if they're from the same era....can someone confirm this?

From Skunk's sale thread:

ALL SOLD, thank you!

Busse Filet Knife for sale here, 4" blade, mint Busse from the early 90's. This is RAZOR SHARP to say the least. Hand ground by Jerry Busse before he became Rich n Famous!

D2 Steel and Doublecut with Beautiful Micarta!

RARE and very usable!!!

I think I got that confused then....the fillets were from the early 90's.....and for some nagging reason I think the 3 fingers were early 80's....Where's skunk to verify? :D

Wow. I didn't know they were Jerry-ground. :(

I saw the thread early enuf to grab several and didn't. Remember that all of you that got one/several. I coulda pulled a Jaxx and didn't. Now gimmesomeINFI!

Thanks for all the information. I acquired this knife a few weeks ago and didn't really know what I had.

i found a bunch of older busse's in AK along with the holy tearer's and original sh1's. i made the guy a package deal and ran like hell!

I HATE using a knife that flexes, or goes anywhere but where I put it.

I'm a chef who cut fish professionally for many years, and probably cut more fish than most.

Of course, that doesn't mean a flexible knife is somehow "wrong," just that it is not necessary for the job, and isn't my preference.

Skunk, can you PM me and let me know when the Holy Tearers and original SH1's will be listed on the Exchange? Thanks.
