What is my knife worth?

I have a couple knives that are difficult to price. Is it within the rules to ask the community for advice, and if so, what is the correct forum?

Anyone who has a membership which permits them to sell can ask questions of valuation.
As a Gold member, you are good to go.
Where to post would depend on the knife.
  • Really old or unusual knives will typically get better answers in Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting and Identification forum.
  • Traditional knives in Traditional Forum.
  • Modern knives in General Forum
  • If it is a production knife and the manufacturer has a forum here...you get the idea.
My normal recommendation for pricing a knife is to check eBay for recently sold similar knives. Look at the bid history and consider that the next bid under the winning bid is what someone else would pay for that knife.
