What is Powder Metallurgy?

i saw the setup at latrobe a few years back and if i remember right its 2 storys tall so as to give the steel that is sprayed time to cool to the point of not fusing when they land at the bottom then they screen it into grades that are speced for the steel order. this is when i learned for the most part that power steel are less about the GEN made (tho i believe 3rd gen might have to have slightly upgraded spray and cooling bits as its being formed) gen 1 nad 2 i was told are more about what size power is used then HIPed together
