What is strongest folder? Overall not just lock.

My bet goes with Cold Steel Recon1 - cheap and bulletproof knife. You can have two off eBay new for less thnan $120. There's no better value out there in that range.

Buck 880 is also nice, but for double the price...? Not worth it...

The Knife Collector is right. Peters pry bars are from 4.5 to six inches in length and 3/16 of CPM3V. They will take amything you can throw at them and the 4.5" one is about the size of a medium pocket knife.

Double that. I have several Atwood products. I have really abused his products and they keep coming back for more. Peter makes tough, reliable products. The price should be close to what you are looking to spend.

How about one of the Myerchin rigging knives? Fairly stout and most come under your price range. The folders all have marline spikes as well that might help keep the blade a little longer.

Though I've never handles one, a John Greco folder is said to be TUFF! and if should fit the price point. Try www.grecoknives.com for a looksee. I also wanted to say that it is sorta hard to not regard lock strength when considering the strongets folder. I would think that my BM Rukus with the axis lock and double thick hardened steel frame would be plenty tough.
