what is that internet site that sells knives but has hassle free returns?

So you are planning to buy the knives, play with them for a few days, then return them? Very lame. :barf:

Try? Why not go to a ... "STORE" ... and try it. They usually let you handle the knives before you buy unless you look 12 years old. If you try a knife online you're going to end up spending like $10 for shipping alone, to and from. Uhg...

Thats what I do lol. Go to the local outfitter supply and check out the outrageously priced knives and find one I like then go home and order it 50 bucks cheaper from Newgraham......im such a bad boy :o

i need to make a choice between 3 knives, and i live in NYC, where it's hard to find knife stores. they did not haev the ares or 710.

So, where do you find this place called ... a STORE?

Couple of knife shows a year, NJKCA meetings every month ... there are ways ... but no STORES here.

Agreed. That is lame. Image yourself as an online seller. How would feel about this?
Not to mention the fact that these are both very different knives. If you want to go with just one or other, just tell us what your needs are, and we'll help you make the right choice, WITHOUT HASSLING THE SELLERS!!!
Less returns keeps prices down. Duh.
And you're not the only one that I lecture. My wife does the same thing, and it annoys the piss out of me. I try to avoid returning whenever possible.

A.G.Russell doesn't give any hassles but he didn't come down with the last drop of rain either. A.G. is a pretty cool guy but he won't tolerate abuse of his policy. So, if someone was just trying to find a place to buy and then return had that repeated as an MO I'd suspect there would be words exchanged about the concern of just buying to simply return them after checking them out.

I would hope no one would do that to A.G. because he is one of the few in the knife world that I would take a bullet for.

A.G.Russell has some nice stuff. Ive ordered a couple times and have been very satisfied.

Love his catalogs too, although I have not gotten one since I moved to GA. I think I will go to the website and request one so the new addy will be on file.

Exactly  The sporting goods stores don't stock anything decent, and NJ and the BATF have managed to eliminate the local gun shops. Makes me want to :barf: repeatedly...

If you find the site you're looking for make sure you let us know...

...so I don't order from them myself. I'm not very enamoured of the idea that my brand new knife might have been handled by some wanker and isn't actually brand new anymore.

AMEN, Planterz!

This is why Internet dealers charge a restocking fee. I bought a knife recently from an online dealer. It was still neatly packaged and sold as new but had clearly been used. The Dealer agreed to drop the price by 10% to cover the used status of this knife. Someone else had ordered it and returned it stating it was just as he recieved it. The dealer did not bother to look over the knife and just returned it to inventory.

Now he checks all returns, added wordage to his policy and charges a 15% restocking fee.

"Buy to try" is lame and an abuse of many dealers generous return policies. Buy what you are certain you want and return only what proves defective or has been misrepresented, period.........................
