What is that one knife?

Everyone I know has one. That one knife you will always buy when it's on sale just in case you lose the one you are carrying. The first knife you pick up to go out of your home, the one that is always on your belt, in your pocket, etc. The one that rides in every pack, tackle box, vehicle, etc that you own.

Mine is the Schrade ClipHanger. It's light, durable, has the clip set-up so I can lash it anywhere and all of mine are the U.S. made models.

What is yours?

You're not going to like this answer but......it's a folding Gerber with a half regular/half serrated edge. I keep it in my back pant's pocket and I've taken off the clip. It is flat and light weight. The serrated edge portion of the blade I use for ripping through cardboard boxes and other rough work. A couple of years ago I was half way up a tree heading for my tree stand (deer hunting) and I had to cut a branch out of the way- one handed. In any event I reached into my back pocket and got the Gerber, it has a thumb hole- so I flicked open the blade- and used the serrated portion to saw off the branch- it was a while back and I can't remember now why I didn't just break the branch but in any event the humble Gerber did the job. It's the day in and day out knife I always carry. I think the steel is 440C it sharpens easily and wears pretty good. And- it is one knife in which I would buy a back up blade.

Gerber Freeman S30V folder. I've bought three of them. Love that knife.

For me it's the Buck 110. I have other knives I like and carry, but the 110 is "The One" for me.

I've always made it a point to buy one of each knife I've come across that I've liked over the years. I have no duplicates other than a Douk, Douk (2).
However, I am going to buy a couple more Spyderco Delica 4's. I really think for me they are the bomb!

I don't carry it every day, but the one model I have the most copies of (3) is the Beretta Loveless hunter. I've never found anything better for what it does, and when a stray dog stole my original one I really missed it. That's why I bought three spares: so I'll hopefully never be without one.

When I die somebody is going to get some great knives at the auction!

That's a great knife. I really love mine too, but can't carry it every day because it's not legal.

Everyone has that favorite, and yes I buy multiples. Mine is the Mini Cyclone TI/ZDP. If one of these will last me 10 years, lets just say I can go over 200 years without running out! :D

Another for the BM 555 mini-grip

if it came in G10 it would be the perfect EDC

My EDC is a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan. Its light, solidly built, razor sharp, and exudes quality. Highly recommended.

Rat Izula. Its has not left me since I have gotten it. There is a RC5 in the trunk on the GHB. I use to EDC a Doug Ritter RSK MK1.
