What is the best 4.5" - 6" knife for under $35.00?

If you want a good fixed blade for that price you better go with a Buck. I'm not real sure you can even get a 4" to 5" Buck for that price.

The Heat treat on Buck knives are simple going to put them head and shoulders above anything else you can find in that price range. You won't have to worry about rust, and they are very sharp blades.

I have only seen it online, but the Dajo Survival Knife comes with a fire steel and whistle in the sheath and goes for $30.

Well after reading all of your replies, over and over, and doing quite a bit of research I decided to go with a Mora Clipper, #840, with the Carbon steel blade.

They are sweet little knives. Very nice.

I couldn't decide between the Stainless steel or Carbon steel. It seamed like half of the reviews I read everyone was saying get the Stainless and the other half everyone was saying get the Carbon. I ended of flipping a coin on it.

I want to thank everybody for the help.
