For cost paformance, I think BUCK #650 Nighthawk best.
Genelary, Randall M1 is best all agree I think.

Of course this question depend on its expected field.
What is best for night downtown, for wilderness, for forest, for fishing, and for war?
And all, how you use 5" to 7" blade knives?

I think of a 6" as a compromise for almost all purposes. For a working knife I prefer 3.5" to 5". For a fighting knife or a chopping knife I would look for at least 8".

Cold Steel SRK is exactly 6" blade, Fallkniven A1 a little more. Maybe not "the best fixed", but both very solid.

Jeff,
I have just felt so!!
But on last sunday, I used 6" knife for garden brench cutting, it was good!
What is position of 6"???Only knife in the city?

fredie,

They are good I feel, too.
