Earlier in the month I saw a Like New Emerson CQC-15 sell for $80.00 shipped! I remember a ZT 0302 sold for $68.00 shipped a coulple of month ago. So what is the best deal that you have seen and missed out on? What the best deal that you were able to get on BF?
For myself I was able to pick up a ZT 301 for $165.00 shipped. I was the 3rd owner but the blade was still hair shaving sharp.

An incredibly friendly member gave me two sprint run Para 2's I had been wanting LNIB for like $250.

Probably my best purchase deal was $200 for two knives, a pair of Microtech SOCOM Manuals, with 1998 year production. I've also gotten a Benchmade 730CFHS for $105 and a Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5 for $80. I picked up a Blue Titanium Kershaw Bump for $125, as well.

Of course, these purchases were not so extraordinary at the time, except the Microtechs.

I just saw a Para 1 in D2 go for $80 (or was it $85?) What a steal! You bet that bad boy was snapped up in just a few minutes.

I got an emerson super cqc-7 for 100 bucks, I believe the guy just couldn't sell the knife and it was brand new!!! So i offered him a Benjamin and he took it!! I also sold a zt 0300 brand new for 160.00 bucks I have a friend who deals Zts/kershaws and that's what i had in the knife so i put it up for just what i had in it and it it sold in like 2 minutes i believe.

Best deals I ever got:
BNIB Spyderco Manix2 CTS-BD30 $100, LNIB Spyderco Caly3.5 SuperBlue one for $120, another for $130, Large Micarta Sebenza for $350 and a NIB Small Starbenza for $315, BNIB Kershaw Knockout for $30, User BM707 for $75... Plenty more really, but these are recent ones.

Deals I missed:
User Spyderco M390 Para2 $155, User Caly3.5 SuperBlue for $100 TWICE!, NiB Small Starbenza for $300, Small Classic Sebenza for $235. Seems like at least one really good deal I miss out on every week!

Yupp, there are good people here that are not out to make a profit.

By the way, are you on Youtube? CaffeineXJunky right?

The best deals are when you find a new & upcoming knifemaker who has just started selling knives.

I have purchased new knives (including first ones ever made) from Jeremy Horton, NWA (Nick Allen), David Farmer, Michael Morris, Butch Harner, Ataketch, etc.

Some of these knives are either no longer available, or cost several times what they did back then.

That I am.

Cool. Seen some of your vids. You helped me buy a Piston hehe, a knife I had to look up on youtube as I couldn't handle one in person before buying. Also recently, you almost bamboozled me into getting a CMP-154 Blur, a fine knife but I gotta pick my battles: can't buy them all unfortunately!

Mine was a Ranger Green Strider SMF that I traded 10 oz. of silver for last year when sliver hit $40/oz. I had bought the silver at $6.50/oz.

Butch really knows how to make 'em straight & thin.

Can you believe that I bought this slicer for $200? (-It may have been cheaper) This is the knife I use for all of our special occasions and gatherings. Just carved up another Prime Rib and a spiral ham for Xmas with it.

The best deal on BF is the cost of a Registered User membership.
The value of the info you get for free is amazing.
Heck, even the cost of a paid membership is still a darn good deal.

Agreed. My Gold Membership is by far the best deal I've gotten on here.

That thing is sweet! You could probably get another just like that now if you add a one in front of that number.Give or take a hundred.;)

I had a mean, hefty 3V chopper(7" blade) from Butch.Forgot what I paid, but remember thinking it was too little.I also had one of his cool little neckers in 154CM & his homemade blue jean micarta. It was $75 at the time. One of the best little slicers I ever had!

More power to him.I'm happy that he's getting a healthy premium for his blades now.Like you said & I wholeheartedly agree, find a new maker just getting into the game for the best deals.Just don't do what I did & sell them!:D

Yes. R.L "Butch" Harner deserves every bit of the fame & fortune that he is acquiring.

I agree. All the R. Flaherty folders that sold for $150, I missed all of those.

Before I knew much about custom knives I got a package deal from Michael Morris that I am almost embarrassed to have offered but he accepted.

I also got a package deal from Ryan Week that was pretty sweet.

I think my best production deal was an Emerson CQC-13 for $100.

I have missed so many. I try to forget about those. This really is a great forum.

My best was probably the Spyderco Smallfly with SS handles here for $60. Although I also picked up a Spyderco Delica 2 for $15, Benchmade Adamas for $50, Al Mar Falcon Ultralight for $40, and Böker AF-FD for $125. Outside of Bladeforums, my best buys have been the Kershaw Spec Bump for $60 new, Spyderco Phoenix for $117 new, and Benchmade AFCK mini for $30.

I've missed more good deals than I can remember. I don't tend to jump on knives I don't like that much, even if I know they're a really good deal.
