What is the best looking production Spyderco ever made?

This is really a tough one for me. Just to pick out one Spyder as the best looking ever is really tough for me because there are so many out there that are works of art. Catamount hit one over the centerfield wall with the JD Smith. That knife was truly overlooked and under-rated when it was in the line up.

I have to actually pick 3 to be fair about it. I am going to pick a folder, a fixed blade and one work knife

Folder > C-46 Tanto Folder
Fixed Blade > FB-05 Temperance
Work/Utility blade> C-77 Spyderhawk

The 3 of them truly epitomize the Great Spyder Factory

You guys might think I'm crazy, but I'll say the Mini Dyad, with the micarta scales. That is a classy looking little knife! Plus it has double the Spyderhole goodness

What is "best looking" for me this month probably won't be in 6 months. Definately won't be in a year from now. My tastes change too much, I guess.

Think that's why I haven't bought a Santa Fe Stoneworks custom. As much as I like them, I just haven't seen one that will ALWAYS be my favorite color/style.

I think a gentlemen's version of the caly would look beautiful. Mixed poliches steel with fancy wood or something.

I'm pretty sure that's why Sal has the Kopa:D . I think the Kopa is the best "traditional" looking knife while the CF Caly3 is the best modern looking knife.

Love them Kopa with fancy scales! Great compliment to my manix, now if I could only convince my g/f to get me one...

My personal top three prettiest spydies...

The aforementioned Lum Chinese Folder, any color:

The Original Viele, here with a Jot Singh Khalsa:

And the Turqois Kopa!

The Lums are a sight but hard to get. I am going to pick up a Ed Schempp Kris in the next weekend or so. I really have grown fond of it's lines. Just my humble opinion....

My first quality knife I ever bought was at the same time the first Spyderco knife i ever bought. It remains the best looking Spyderco for me. It´s the Terzuola Starmate. Not to beat in terms of design and handling. Wish they would make a new run in smaller size (Bob T´s Microstar).
Just got it professionally resharpened (has the 60/40 serrated edge) by knifemaker Jürgen Schanz a week ago. Now it is ready for edc again !

Hi There,

Here's my top 5:

1: Full size Ed Schempp Persian
2: The original Viele
3: The Lum Chinese folder( both colors)
4: Turqoise Kopa,
5: Terzuola Starmate

kind regards,

Werner

I have hard time deciding between C83 Persian and Shabaria.
Also, it is difficult to compare both of them to Kopas.
So here are my favorite "not-Kopas":

WhyNot

Call me weird, but I love the look of the SE Mili. To me it screams Spyderco, and it has the same feeling that a kustom chopper has. They not going in the same direction, but do you see what I'm saying?

"What is the best looking production Spyderco ever made?"

My choice would be the 25th Anniversary Delica it's an absolute work of art.
I'm not sure if it qualifies as a production knife thou?Other than that I'd say its a toss up between the C42 Howard Viele and the C58 JD Smith.
The C83 Persian also gets a

I think micarta and G-10 are the best looking materials.

In order of personal visual appeal:

1. Large Persian - I don't like the feel of the knife, but the lines are beautiful
2. UKPK or Caly3 - clean simple knives
3. Manix 83mm - wish it had a wire clip though...
4. P'kal - fascinating design, but I don't know that I'd like it
