I know this is not the answer that you are looking for, but I agree with Mike. You'll have to buy every possible variation and see what works best for you.
EdgePro and Sharpmaker are two obvious choices, but very different price points. If you go with the Sharpmaker, you'll likely have to supplement it with a coarse benchstone (like a DMT DiaSharp or one of the synthetics such as Silicon Carbide or Aluminum Oxide) for profiling work. AND, if you go that route, you'll probably want the Razor Edge clamps to help you keep the angles constant. Once you get the Razor Edge clamps, you might as well go ahead and get a Soft, Hard, and Black Arkansas stone to round out your toolbox. Finally, you'll need a good strop and either white polishing compound or the green CrO from Hand American.
And, I didn't even mention Japanese waterstones...
