Hello all:

I am looking for three different steels (1095, 5160 and 15N20) for a friend of mine. He is probably the best in making damascus knives (in our country):

I tried several knife making suppliers but it seems like thet do not carry all of those we need. We are looking for 5 different sizes (all measurements are in inches) of 3 different steels 1095, 5160 and 15N20.

8x8x2
8x8x2,4
40x2x2
40x2,5x2,5
40x1,25x1/5

Is there a chnce I could get all of these from one source? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

While we're on this topic, anyone have a recommendation for 1084 already annealed?

Kelly Cupples [octihunter@charter.net] will email you his current list. Just drop him a line. If he can meet your needs, the steel will be on its way to you practically before you complete the order!

Aldo will be your best bet, but those are some very big and unusual sizes, so I'm not so certain what luck you'll have. What I do when I need larger steel is simply stack thinner steel up and weld it to get where I need to be.

Good luck!

Aldo has and stocks those steels (and many more) (njsteelbaron.com) great guy to deal with!
