I was at my dads house today and was taking a walk in the woods. I came across the motherload of fatwood so i got me a little extra for my supplies. What is the best way to store it .

In a grocery bag under my desk?...
I don't think you need to do anything special to store it, but I could be wrong.

You don't need to do anything "special". I usually put mine in some type of container just to keep everything from getting sticky. You can just throw it in the garage if you want, it won't make it any less effective.

I have a Fatwood Repository, complete with temperature controlled bins and a state of the art security system. You'd best send all that fatwood my way.

;)

I keep mine in a bag sitting on the garage floor.
Watch it, I patented this system! :D Mine is in a plastic grocery bag....

Seriously, it doesn't really matter, as long as you keep it reasonably dry for mold, mildew, etc. Not that that should be a big problem, but it would be the only problem that I could think of.

Thanks guys. I am glad to know there is nothing special i have to do to it. Cause i thought for a minute there i was gonna have to send it to bushman5 to put it in his Fatwood Repository system.:D

I don't like to split a huge supply up and then store it, as sometimes it loses some of its...fat! I split what I need and leave the rest in large pieces.

Send it to me, the freezing tempatures of the great white north will perserve it forever and with all the pine around here the smell will not attract attention. :D
