I am slightly sad that we have not seen any Busse Industrial Grade Satin offerings lately... when it was released I was hoping we would have this option for every knife. Battle Grade Baby Boomn BIG SF would have been awesome... I am not sure I will be able to pick up any Infi in the future, let alone satin Infi. I actually prefer SR-101 in most cases anyway, I think it would be a perfect match for this finish... anybody else?

I'd like to see the whole Ergo line up on the website with B.I.G. as an option :-) one can dream :-)

B.I.G. Is really cool though and a great alternative to full satin, but I love the Combat grade INFI just as much :-) and I've bought more SR101 recently than I ever thought I would lol :-)

Would love to see more of this finish too. Although based on what I've seen, the big finish tends to get little rust spots for whatever reason. I've seen this on several BIG knives for sale here too.. Maybe due to the fine grind lines, things get trapped in the finish? Still really like it though

I have not noticed any rust in my experience, interesting... I believe I remember Garth saying at Knob that it was between full satin and double cut for corrosion resistance, so not entirely surprising to hear.

I thought Jerry said he was reticent to offer B.I.G. blade finishes due to a high volume of 1)stupid or 2)dishonest people returning the blades either for 1)refund or 2)smoothing and polishing from the custom shop under "warranty" service

I believe that was for competition knives if I remember correctly, but he may have said it for BIG as well.

In regards to BIG on sr-101, that would be cool, but I doubt it will happen. It would require people to keep their blades quite a bit more oiled than INFI or they would rust much more easily. If a lot of people start complaining about rust issues on their Busse's then it would look bad for the brand (a lot of people won't do their research to understand the difference between INFI and other blade steels).

I prefer satin over BIG and from what I remember it isn't that much more expensive.

I also prefer the so far 100% rust free competition finish that was offered on SOBs.

What Busse should have done is engraved competition or big on all those blades and any that got returned for warranty service to make full satin, would get charged the extra labor.

.......... as noted that was why Jerry stopped generally offering Competition Finish. BIG was loosely the replacement for CF. I, and most others, prefer CF. I certainly prefer it aesthetically over BIG though either is fine in use.

I'd go for as is unfinished uncoated. Just save me a step. It's all I ask. Haha. I'll ask a lot more I'm sure.

I'm pretty darn happy with coated SR-101, especially after some wear. Options are always good though, I wouldn't mind having the option.

I'd more so like an opportunity to get SR-101 in Arctic White and Black Paper. Both choices no longer offered.
