Magnacut Navaja?

Is the Magnacut any sort of a clue as to what the blade is for (eg, water uses, harpoon, underwater scaler, large fishing knife, the way folks dive with a BK9?) or is the steel just what they wanted?
 
Please tell me it's a cutlass or a hanger sword...😁 magnacut's stain resistance would sure come in handy on the high seas.

This is the largest MagnaCut blade in the world, to the best of my internet sleuthing abilities. Just over a 27" blade, with a 10" handle.
