What is the deal with my mosaic tubing? All the stuff inside falls out...

Have not really worked with mosaic tubing until now...got some folks who want oyster shuckers with mosaic tubing as pins to dress it up. If I need an inch or so for a pin, I can't saw it without all the little pins, etc, in the middle pouring out as I saw.....

As I insert it into the drilled holes the little pins, etc pour out the other side....

This is maddening....cutting and gluing up is like trying to herd cats! I thought they had all that stuff glued up in the tubes!

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It is supposed to be glued up in the tubes. Where did you get the pins?

Put a drop of superglue in the end before you start sawing?

And make sure that you sand the small pieces the best you can to give the epoxy a good rough surface to stick to.

I have had some loose pins and I push them out a bit one by one and place a drop of super glue on the hole the pin leaves, I usually only have one or two loose pins after I cut them to size, maybe not a 100 glue up, if you have loose pins prior to cutting I would check with where you purchased , maybe forgot to fill with epoxy

Or you didn't use enough hardened, get enough epoxy in the big tube or you also need to consider the ambient temperature when you mixed and cured your epoxy. Epoxy and cold don't go together....

The tubing is from a well known supplier...he's a great guy....identifying him won't solve the problem I have. I assumed that the tubing would be epoxied too, but the stuff I got from him was not. Currently filling it with colored epoxy after I get everything in place. I thought about the super glue trick as well...
