and petiki tsirka, and pentjak silat. Is there an appreciable difference, or not. I hear these used almost interchangeably, and reffered to as FMA, but silat is malaysian. I'm sure this has been covered before, but forgive my ignorance. Thanks, joe
none, really. kali is the moslem term for fighting arts while arnis is derived from a spanish word. the confluence of malay and moslem influences melded the entire system: from wrestling to kick-boxing to stick and blade fighting; all into one.
It seems the question is asking for the difference between these FMA's and the other arts mentioned, rather than the difference between kali and arnis. That being said, I have no idea what the answer is.
