Good thread. Contests were excellent. Not only for all the cool prizes, (Thank you Ethan !) but you're always learning new stuff too.

I participated in most of them and my camp is a result of several contests.
I'm still using it 2 years later -
Just thought I'd put up some pics for some new folks that haven't had a chance to see what some of the contests can produce

First - shelter building contest (I'm a little OCD and kinda' when a little crazy on this one - LOL)

Raised bed lean too

Added some sides, firepit, etc.

Second - Smaller shelter building contest

Chaos guarding the finished shelter (LOL)

Camp - what it has developed into.

Chairs and stuff were part of other contest too.


Again - my point is not just too show off my camp
But too illustrate how useful and productive the contests can be.

Like I said, I've been using this for 2 years now and other than re-roofing and a few new lashes here and there,
it's still going stong and a fun place too get into the woods.

It's good to hear the contests are coming back. I haven't had a chance to participate in one yet, but I look forward to the opportunity.
