What is the knife you would die if you lost it

That would be my Buck 110 that my wife gave me years ago. I carried and used it a lot over the years. It has my name and the year engraved on the blade. As mentioned by some other posters here, its the sentimental value and uniqueness of that knife that I would miss.
Any other knife I have can be replaced with a new one even if it's my favorite knife, because its just a knife to me.
I'd still hate to loose one though. :(

I have lost knives before. I have had a couple stolen from me as well. Only one right now is not replaceable.

This one. It was made by my Uncle Glen Hornby, a custom maker from California. He died, and I can't replace it. I bought it to be a user for hunting etc. But I have never even cut paper with it, since he is gone. If I had a bunch, I would use it without a problem.

here with a gun I can't replace either. It belonged to my Grandfather.

my dad does not use this one for the same reason.

An old Bone handled Case trapper. It was the last knife my father carried.

Nothing I own is terribly expensive. Some would be difficult to replace. Some of the older blades would definitely set me back some change to replace, but I wouldn't loose any sleep over any of them.

When I was 11 I moved in with my dad and stepmom...well it was kinda weird, and I was naturally worried if she would be a mom or a step-wench.

She bought me my first SAK Classic that I eventually wore out and broke (still bums me out). One day we were in U.S. Calvary and out of no where, she got me my first fixed blade, a "Ka-Bar" by Ontario in the early early 90s. She thought it was safe for me to own...I think I was 12. I still have it.

She's now more of a mom to me than my bio-mom, and treats me like her own son. I couldn't ask for a cooler parent.

Out of all the high budget toys I own, that $35 knife is more important to me than all the rest, and it resides in my safe box at the bank while a bunch of $200+ folders are scattered all over the house.

Great lady, great gift, great memory.

If I lost it I would be irreconcilable. She was really the first person that not only accepted my interest in knife collecting, but also promoted it.

A close second would be the G-10/S30V Leek the wife bought me for our first anniversary...she spotted it over my shoulder when I was a poor struggling businessman, and bought it for me...at the time it was a "high dollar" knife. I lost it for 3-4 days and I tore the place apart trying to find it...sure enough SHE moved it on me. Eye Ron EEE!

Enough sappy stuff, where's the next Sebbie :D

My SOG Flash II. I know how most people feel about them here, but mine is actually decently constructed. Also, it was a gift. =]

i'd be kind of happy if i lost my flash 2 because then id have a great excuse to tell the wife for why i need a new edc knife, and my flash is a certified piece of shyt

Well the more expensive it would be, the worse I'd feel, but the only one that would be kind of irreplaceable would be the custom Waki I had made. It is literally unique.
Busse's, SR's, SY's can all be replaced, althought the loss of monetary value would suck.
