What is the knife that is the absolute minimum you will go out into the world with? I mean, if you were heading to work, and discovered you had this knife on you, You wouldn't turn around and go home to get one. For me it is a rally. It is the absolute minimum for me, begrudgingly. I know some of you HAVE to carry a Maxx cuda :D , but for the rest of you?

a Kopa, or small kershaw or Native or 3 " slipjoint
( dress up knife for ..... sheeple friendly knife for all the sheeple who think I'm going to hurt them with my knife))) I know it nuts but its real,
I'm at a real expensive resturant , pull out my knife to cut some string off my sweater, manager comes by and asks me why I am carrying a weapon in his resturant, and I have to take it to the car no weapons allowed in his resturant....

There's a reason why I EDC an Aftermath... ;)

My "least knife" is my HideAway Knife Curvy. It can do just about everything I need to do with a blade and do most of it fairly well.

If we're talking about folders, it would be my Spyderco Salsa Titanium. The blade shape is not my favorite, but it is versatile and effective well beyond its size.

Either my Wife's Kershaw Chive or Spyderco Cricket.

LOL, same here. Although I have to admit I am the owner of a rainbow Kershaw Chive. :) The Cricket is SS.

The smallest knife I carry is a Benchmade 31 balisong or a Spyderco Calypso Jr or a BM 705-401. 3" knives. Not including SAKs, but a SAK is never my main EDC (although I always have one on me). I can get by with smaller, but I choose not to, although that might change whenever I get around to buying a Kopa.

Gotta have something though. I can get by with a small blade, but If I don't have even that, I feel naked and helpless.

Vic Ranger. I've carried it for a few weeks and used it for all jobs while the larger blades stayed in the pocket.

My Boker 4" stockman or my Vic Tinker, either one would be my minimum. Come to think of it, those would also qualify as my necessary maximums when I'm out and about. Just don't need anything any bigger.

Well, I always have multitools in the car/office. Leatherman XE6 Juice or Charge I guess....But coming out w/o my Sebenza is like coming out w/o pants on...If pants are on me, there she is:D

Victorinox Bantam

I used to carry one in the shirt pocket of my scrubs. First week of classes and I was in scrubs. Looking for a knife that wasn't obtrusive yet useful that would ride in the shirt pocket.

A slipjoint like a Schrade 34OT or a Case medium stockman with CV steel, for instance. A Victorinox Classic on the keyring would do it as far as light cutting goes.

I rarely carry a knife, but recently I've found it helpful to have one handy at work. It's an AG Russell Hunter's Scalpel. At 8/10ths of an ounce, it's difficult to imagine getting by with anything less.

I guess none. School ass why. frick....

When I go golf it's just an SAK.

So I compensate by carrying two or three whenever else. :D
