what is the least knife you need?

Spyderco D'holder Toad. Small 2" razor sharp blade is great for light, everyday cutting chores and the sheeple never bat an eye at the curious looking little knife.

i think i would manage to survive in my urban environment without knife for couple of hours :D

I always have a knife EDC, but as i rotate them, sometime i forget to take new one... but when i realise that, i am not going back home in hurry like a knife junky ! :D

On another way, i have put on my keyring a small custom in kidex shealth, kindda Perrin "lagriffe" (blade is 2 cm :D ) so i am never really "nude" !

That's an easy one: my modified Spyderco Delica (full flat grind and wireclip). It stays 95% of the time with me. :D

hmmm... this is a good thread :) I only have 3 different knives to choose from for EDC's, and they are all over 3" in blade length (BM Griptillian, Greco Falcon, or CS Gunsite II), so realistically, the least I'd carry is one of those 3. However, when I fill out my line-up a bit, I plan to add a Fallkniven U2 and a Spyderco Kiwi - either one of those blades would fill the slot as a small, but still acceptable knife.

A.G. Russell Ultimate Penknife. Carried in my wallet every day and as a white collar worker, it really does meet most of my needs most of the time.
I carry all of those other bad boys because I want to.

Delica or Ritter mini-grip. I carry those two more than any others around town. Can't wait for the new version of the Delica........................... :)

My SAK Recruit for me. Try to have at least one other whenever possible - could be anything from my FRN Delica and/or BM Mini-Grip to something larger like a Paramilitaryl, BM Griptillian, Endura. LM Wave if possible or at least in vehicle.

My least knife is my Fallkniven U2. Prior to that, it was a Buck/Mayo TNT. Now, it will be my Spyderco Calypso,Jr. But, I don't feel underr knived/ under knifed, with my U2. But, this is all I take to work with me. On the weekends, my least knife would be the Buck/Mayo TNT. I always have at least 2 on me on the weekends.

Mini Swiss Army--you get a blade, screwdriver, nailfile, scissors, toothpick, tweezers all in package a bit more than 2 inches long that fits comfortable in your change pocket.

Then there`s my urban survival knife:- kaicut money clip with blade, file, scissors and some foldin money in the clip. You not gonna survive nowhere without money.

Always got one of these two on me.

the utility razor I always forget is in my wallet.

If i were to count the number of times that thing has gone through airport security I probably wouldn't fly again

Until about two weeks ago, a Victorinox Spartan Lite: two blades, three screwdrivers, even an LED light....

But then I got my Benchmade Ares. It's the knife I've been looking for since I came here: 4"-ish blade, G-10 handles, great lock, smooth action... I even got a 710HS a few days later, and it's just sitting in the drawer because the Ares just fits.

a Kopa, or small kershaw or Native or 3 " slipjoint
( dress up knife for ..... sheeple friendly knife for all the sheeple who think I'm going to hurt them with my knife))) I know it nuts but its real,
I'm at a real expensive resturant , pull out my knife to cut some string off my sweater, manager comes by and asks me why I am carrying a weapon in his resturant, and I have to take it to the car no weapons allowed in his resturant....
This why my main edc is a pen knife:D the first was a Spydeco Ladybug (still carry it..even if I have four other knives with me) but I like a pocket clip so my choice now is an Al Mar SLB AUS-8 1.75 inch blade pop it out in public no cares:D

exactly... lets not have a conniption ( pardon my french mon frere) if we don't have a knife when we walk out the door. It warms the cockles of my heart to see all the SAK fans too. I carry a small 2 /4 " bone RR stockman most days. I work in a public school. Its legal!

I hate public schools... If I bring my knife and get caught, I'm screwed. Worst part is, I know that one day I'm going to forget to take it out of my pants... It'll be easy considering that my EDC is a Kershaw Chive. Being a minor, carrying a bowie around wouldn't be good...

I don't feel nude without a knife though, as I've just started making it a daily thing.

A 3 1/2" slipjoint in a Canoe pattern with sharp blades.....if thats ALL I ever had I could get by with it especially if it has good carbon steel, D2, or decent stainless ( 440C ) blades.
