What is the longest you have ever waited for a blade.

I've been waiting a good 3 and 1/2 years for something in particular, I probably have at least another year before this maker even gets to me. I'm patient though :)

I waited about 2 months for my GSO 4.1 and it felt like forever.
Not sure how some of you guys wait years and years for a knife. I guess it depends on whether or not the money has come out of your account yet or not. I sure wouldn't wanna pay for something and then wait years to receive it.

5 years for a Jack Crain survival knife. It was supposed to take 6 months, but as it turned out, I was lucky to finally get it at all. Paid up front too! I would never do that again.

The wait for the ZT0777 was one of the longest I've seen from a production knife...

Approaching the 4 year mark on a Scott Cook Lochsa. No complaints though as I was lucky to get the chance to be added that one day he re-opened his books back in 2010. :)

Grimsmo Norseman. Due to ship February..... Just got the notice a week ago.... Can't wait.

I was young and stupid! That was my very first custom knife order, and was a horrible experience. Every maker since then that I have dealt with have been honest and gracious though.
Very wise words.

The number 1 rule for getting a knife on time is Never Pay Up Front.

As far as production knives go those guys that pre-ordered the first run of the PM2 CTS-204P from KW had a good wait. I got mine on the 2nd run.

Quite a few months for the ZT 0566 to come out, I eventually got tired of waiting and ended up learning I loved traditional slipjoints more than modern folders and the idea of owning that knife doesn't really interest me all that much now.

I got my first knife at 5 or 6 - and I guess I had been waiting for like 2-4 years by then...

I ordered my first ever "high-end" knives and steels this morning at about 6:30 EST. BM 810-1401 Contego KW Exclusive M390 with sculpted Blue/Black G-10, and a Spyderco Delica 4 FFG with Brown FRN. Best brand and steel I have besides that is Kershaw in Sandvik. I've always bought from brick and mortar stores until today. So it's been 15 hours but it feels like it's been 15 days. This is going to be a LONG week but I have a feeling it will be WELL worth the wait :) I feel like a little kid at Christmas time again.

5 years for one custom, 4 years for another custom. The average has been a couple of years, overall for the customs that I have ordered.
