Here is a question for you . Is there some kind of lug retainers in a semi auto such as the remington or is it just spring loaded with the spring being defeated by the force of the round going off .

Runs With Scissors said:a royal pain in the a$$ to get back together. Any time I'd be in the local gun shop and someone came in carrying a paper bag the Smith would look up, "Oh....Nylon 66, huh?" He was usually right. My family used to all swear by the Nylon 66, we had about three of them that had been fired and carried quite extensively, and none ever needed to be taken apart for cleaning.
Slightly OT, but a friend of mine has a complete collection of Remington Nylons, bolt action, lever action,66,77, etc. Really neat to look at.
