What is the most aesthetically pleasing production model traditional ever?

The beauty of many of the traditional patterns is that they all look good IMO. I hardly see one that makes me turn my eyes away. They're also old enough that they've been thoroughly used and work well. That said, my favorite is a serpentine trapper framed jack. I like the 3 7/8" versions like the Schrade 294 designs, GEC #48, and this Ken Erickson.

Hey now, no fare throwing down an Erickson in this production knife thread! Haha! Just kidding, love seeing pics of that knife, probably my favorite trapper.

Boy, there are so MANY to choose from but this one ranks right up there in my book;)

I agree. Tell me more like what is that handle material.

Well, my Case Saddlehorn Damascus started out as amber jigged bone, a series they released a few years back. I applied some leather dye to the bone to darken it. I used brown, cordovan (that's where the reddish hues come from) and some black to darken the jigging. It originally looked something like this:

It actually doesn't look quite as dramatic in real life - my photo, taken outside in good bright light makes it pop more.

always loved a single bladed trapper but the one i got from Boker came weird with a somewhat curled tip :(
