What is the most drastic mods you've seen done to a Becker?

Where is Murphs BK2 that he turned into a chisel/ice scraper?

That 9 is crazy, anyone recall what caused it to break to begin with?

Most likely stress risers from the roll stamping; one of the reasons the new ones are laser etched. This was a Camillus made 9.

Oh yeah.....that, and Jonny1280's bulging muscles is what really broke it.

Haha, thanks for the info. Were the stress risers a common issues with the 9 solely or the majority of the stamped Beckers?

From what I understand there were relatively few, compared to the number made, but enough that Kabar/Ethan decided to reduce that small number to as few as possible.

The only negative (a very minor one, IMO) I find in the etched versions is the potential loss of the etching after stripping the coating or very heavy use. Easily fixed with a little electro-etching and/or PCB etchant to deepen the etches before stripping.

murph's 7 bayonet

I went to post pics of Murphs 7 bayonet and the Remora pistol bayonet that both came out of my shop, but for some reason photobucket wont let me retrieve the pics.........

That's nuts looking!

I love how the cleavers over the Doorway don't have a strap securing them to the magnet, but the knives over head on the left side do. Most likely the isn't a magnet on the knife rack though. Still I find it humorous.

Edit: for me being blind/a little slow

OK, I think I can actually see the nails... Good call.

Actually, I think the cleavers are being held up by nails - hanging by the standard "hang the cleaver on a nail" hole. :D:D

necro-thread. Now that it's done, I need to put this here - ever so slightly modified BK-7:
