There's nothing I REALLY want anymore...my "user knife" functions are mostly taken care of.
I guess one I've been thinking about is a Sharpfinger, just for skinning.
The only other knife that specifically appeals to me to own is a traditional bowie. But I don't need one, and probably wouldn't buy one unless I suddenly found myself with more money than I thought I had.
It's sort of hard as part of me would like to own many of the beautiful knives I see people on this forum making. I love the Fiddlebacks that I see, and some of the Gossman stuff really wows me. But the thing is, I'm not a collector of anything. I don't have that specific personality trait that inclines a person toward collecting things, whether it's cars, guitars, knives, or guns. (Apparently I only recognize collections of manly things.) I just equip myself for the activities I do. I own four guitars, and don't need any more. I have a 4x4 and a 1964 Malibu and a motorcycle. I don't need more. I have 4 M14s and 3 1911s, and a couple of revolvers. But I am getting rid of one of the M14s, because I don't collect them; I just wanted a folder and two scouts, because I'm a paranoid survivalist.
So although there's knives I don't own, that in a way I would like to own, I have what I need and don't feel a strong inclination to buy more knives similar to what I have now. The Aurora works as well as anything else I'm likely to get in that size range.
But I could use a Sharpfinger for skinning. That's probably my next knife.
