What is the Plural of Moose??

Hey buddy,
This is community! Watch it with those sex words.:thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

Like I told John,

It is not that simple. I think we need a study by a Non Governmental Organization to find out the real truth, incovenient or not.:D

It's already covered in the Meese Report....along with the sex words. ;)

Not moosen ? As in ox - oxen ? :D

Wasn't mooses the old guy with long beard splitting the sea to save his people ? :D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yes, it was a joke. It looks like I forgot my smiley icons.:D:D:D

Hopefully that makes up for it.

No. No, it doesn't. Dont let it happen again.

Ever.

:D

I thought you may have been pulling my leg, but in Community it's a little hard to tell sometimes what you can get away with.:foot:

It's all good. I should have had my game smiley face on.

Ren, everybody knows the plural of moose is “mooses” or “moosies“.

But it also could be "Elks", as in the animal….. or like the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks….

The Elks Club began in 1868 as a “social club” called the "Jolly Corks". It was established as a private club to get around New York City laws governing the opening hours of public taverns.

Hmm…you could start a new club, “The Jolly Cork Moosies”. Guys sittin’ around getting drunk wearing moosie hats.

You could be the Grand Cork.

Think about it.

"Critters" applies. And not just to Moose, but any other animal, thereby eliminating the need for plurals of every named creature. Plus, it sounds all woodsy and mountain man like. :)

Moose is easy. The hard one is platypus. There is a story about a British zoo director who wanted two of them. He sat down to write ...

Please send me two platypus platypuses platypusi platypussi platypusses platypussies

Finally he gave up and wrote ...

Please send me a platypus.

P.S. Please send me another one.

The Jolly Cork Moosies...

sounds like something you'd find in "A Clockwork Orange".

Why didn't the guy just tell them to send him a pair of duckbeavers? I'm sure they'd have gotten the hint.

Wait..Australians...nevermind.

Yeah, the "send a platypus. PS-- send me another one" was good enough.
