What is the Q model??

What is the Q model? I can't fing it on any sites. Is Q, just a nickname for a different model?

was discontinued 1998. Frn handle, 440C blade steel, movable (wire) clip. The blade and handle were both perforated (different patterns). The most common was the Spydie bug and US flag. Here is a louzy pic:

Someone has a bunch of them on ebay. More designs than I've seen in one place. I have a standard plainedge Q and it is a great knife. I don't feel the need to collect all of 'em, though. If you're so inclined, check it out.

Very cool to collect but hard to find due to it's discontinued status. Frequently sells on E-bay at inflated bids.

I managed to nab the last serrated spyderco logo/web version with box from Brian at Discountknives last winter.

He also had one plain edged one (no box) left so you might want to contact him. There is the rare on-line knife store that has them. Usually the Flag, or Pro Rodeo circuit models.

I wouldn't buy one for heavy cutting though as it feels a bit on the flimsy side.
