I need small and thin, easily opened in one hand (smaller than the chive if possible, or at least close to that size) knife. I would hope for a thumb stud and a flipper but would settle for one or the other. Recommendations will be very welcomed.

I was thinking the chive was pretty small, just not a big fan of the curvy blade shape. Might grow on my though. Considering getting a Damascus one, any downsides to that type of blade?

Chive.. Do yourself a favor. Dont get Stupidly Overpriced Garbage.. Except for that nice visionary II...

I have several chives and also have a blink. I am very pleased with my blink. It is very thin and has held up well. Not something I would have thought to have purchased, but after receiving it as a gift, I carry it all the time. It is slightly longer than the chive but definitely thinner. Clip is removable to make the knife even thinner. I will post some pics for you.

From left to right Boker Subcom, al mar slb, kershaw chive, gerber ridge, crkt KISS SST, Spyderco Cricket, SOG Blink and Kershaw Scallion Frame Lock.

They are in the same order turned up so you can see the thickness. Sorry the photos suck but I am new to it. The other knife you might want to consider is the Benchmite II. I know it does not have a clip but it might fit what you are looking for. Hope this helps, feel free to ask questions if you have any.

Forgot to mention. All of these knives have a stud for opening except the cricket which has the hole. The only ones with AO are the Kershaws and the SOG.

Hope this helps.

CRKT Koji Hara???

I have one of these and it totally slipped my mind. Good suggestion!

I don't have a chive on hand, but I imagine they are very close in size, if anything the Ichi might be smaller. If you don't like the recurve on the chive, then this would be a good option.

benchmite is a real switchblade not a AO, which of course is only a very techinal difference that most cops don't understand......

Click on the Centofante link in my sig below.
Those are the smallest A/O's available.

Thanks for the effort everyone, and the pics! That is a big help. I am kind of liking the Kershaw 1610 Centofante, it looks small enough and kind of appealing.
