What is the smallest assisted opening knife.

I have a Kershaw 1615, which is the higher end Onion/Centofante (see also 1610). I liked the handles better, and it comes with a clip pouch. The blade is a wharncliffe style, which I really liked over the recurved Chive. I love that knife.

Yeah, I think I am liking that one myself and am leaning towards a Centofante, maybe the rainbow and black. I do like the blade style over the chive and it appears to be plenty small.

Thanks for the tip, although I had just ordered one and got a pretty good deal I think. $56.90 to be exact! I have you to thank for turning me on to that particular style with the pics you posted. Should be just what I wanted...Unless a super small one is hiding out there somewhere...:)

No problem. I think you'll be happy with your choice. Those models are top notch.

Balls, I just realized the one I ordered doesn't have a pocket clip, but comes with a cheese ball leather holster. I don't even see any holes to add a clip from the few pics I have seen of that side of the knife. I guess that one might end up on the shelf.

I got the 1610BB a few days back that I ordered from 2bkc, whom I discovered on this forum. I love the knife and find it is plenty small and does just what I wanted, a small assisted opener that I would barely feel in my pocket at work all day. Thanks for all who gave me their opinions and provided the great and super helpful pictures.

I've got a number of the knives mentioned. The Chive is just a mite smaller than the CRKT Koji Hara Ichi. If price is an issue the CRKT is a steal for the approximate $22 you will find it for. My next choice would be the Kershaw Centofante/Onion; it is very well made and just plain classy. I have a Chive and that curved blade is a bit more difficult to sharpen. It is just a bit too small to handle well, for me. Keep us posted on your choice.

I have one of these and it totally slipped my mind. Good suggestion!

I don't have a chive on hand, but I imagine they are very close in size, if anything the Ichi might be smaller. If you don't like the recurve on the chive, then this would be a good option.

I have one of these (black on black), and tho it's 420JC steel, it gets SHARP and holds OK.
Little pocket razor.
It's small, light (1.8 oz), and the blade shape is very useful, except for a screwdriver, LOL. Leatherman to the rescue
I have MANY pocket/folder/ knives. A/O 's, manuals, and autos. Depends on where I am going that day as I can carry autos concealed, tho not in certain places. So I carry A/O's or manuals mostly.
Even tho a Schrade Smedy Auto is a good EDC, I find myself throwing the Ichi in my pocket a lot.
Not legal in California, but a very useful carry.
Only complaint is that it's a liner lock, but it is a one hand closer and is safe. And for the money, it's gets used HARD.
I only paid $16.00 w/tax for mine from a friend who has a shop.
Oh, and it is an extremely fast thumb flick!
BAMMM!
